I wish to give back to childhood cancer patients in China

A wish

“I wish to raise funds for childhood cancer patients in Mainland China by selling my handmade bracelets.”

When diagnosed with cancer at the age of 16, Pansy knew that her life would never be the same again. She was so grateful to have been treated in Hong Kong, where the hospitalization system is relatively well developed. However, she could not stop herself from worrying about the less fortunate cancer patients in other developing countries.

Everyone was touched by Pansy’s kindness, as she was always thinking of other children with cancer along her road to recovery. Her story was so inspiring that over 100 volunteers came together to help make Pansy’s wish come true. Everyone was overjoyed to learn that 400 bracelets were sold and that Pansy raised more than she expected.

Yet, it was even more encouraging to see the positive changes in Pansy. She grew from a timid little girl to a joyful and bold young lady – powered by her wish-come-true.

Pansy’s wish was granted, but her transformation has only just begun.

Our special thanks goes to CLP Power Hong Kong Limited and CLPV. (Fund raised will primarily be donated to Pau Kwong Wun Charitable Foundation to empower parent support groups helping families of children with cancer in Mainland.)
